Erik Levitt
Partner & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Erik B. Levitt co-founded 1stPoint Communications in 2011, following the success of Endstream Communications, LLC, a next-generation VoIP and telecommunications carrier, which he co-founded in 2007. Mr. Levitt has 25 years of experience in the telecommunications and technology field.
Prior to founding Endstream, Mr. Levitt founded Core Technology Services in November 1995. A leading managed service provider in data networking and telecommunications outsourcing, Core supported clients in 35 countries.
In January 2004, Core was acquired by Access Integrated Technologies (AccessIT) and Mr. Levitt continued as the President and COO of the Managed Services division for more than three years. He oversaw strong growth in the division, where he led the data center group as well as managed services. He was also responsible for integrating new acquisitions into the division.
Mr. Levitt worked as a consultant with clients including Citigroup, Merrill Lynch International Private Client, and Lehman Brothers.
Mr. Levitt received a degree in Management and International Business from the Stern School of Business at NYU and was an International Baccalaureate student at the United Nations International School.
Daniel Pulver
Partner & Chairman
Mr. Daniel Pulver has served as 1stPoints's Chairman since our founding in 2011, having served as Endstream's Chairman since April of 2008 and as an advisor since 2007.
Mr. Pulver is also Managing Partner of Andera Capital, a private equity investment firm focused on small and medium-sized companies. Prior to founding Andera Capital in 2006, he was a Principal of DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, the private equity affiliate of Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette and later Credit Suisse. While at DLJMB, which he joined in 1990, Mr. Pulver focused on both control buyouts and growth capital investments and served on the board of directors of several public and private companies including Accellent, BioPartners, Nextpharma, Nycomed and Thiemann.
Mr. Pulver currently serves on the board of directors of CommVault Systems (Ticker: CVLT), where he is Chairman of the Governance and Nominations Committee and a member of the Audit Committee.
Mr. Pulver obtained his bachelor's degree from Stanford University and his master's in business administration from Harvard Business School.
Avinash Kenkare
Director
Avinash Kenkare is a private equity professional with seventeen years of successful investing experienceand serves on the Board of Directors of the Fund.
Prior to founding Somerset Indus Capital Partners LLC, Avinash was a Managing Partner of Somerset Healthcare Advisors, LLC, and worked for Health Evolution Partners, a $500 million US based healthcare focused private equity fund, co-leading their efforts in investing in lifesciences companies primarily in the US.
Mr. Kenkare joined DLJ Investment Banking in 1998 and DLJ Merchant Banking in 1999
Since joining the Merchant Banking group, he concentrated on DLJMB's healthcare initiatives, working on most of DLJMBP III's healthcare transactions, including Warner Chilcott, Accellent, Nycomed, Kinetic Concepts, and Thiemann
Additionally, Mr. Kenkare worked for The Carlyle Group in New York focused on Carlyle's healthcare investments, Served as a Director of Nycomed Pharma, BioPartners, Next Pharma Technologies, Accellent Corporation and Focus Diagnostics. Currently a Director of CeeLite Technologies, Endstream Communications, PreKlin Research Labs, and Pune based Specialty Sintered
Prior to DLJ, he ran CASI, Inc., an engineering consulting company and Graduated from Howard University magna cum laude in 1982 and Lehigh University in 1984 and received an MBA with Distinction from Wharton in 1998
